CLASS update
week of 6/5/00IMPORTANT NOTES FOR BEGINNING OF TERM: Welcome to COM 333 for the Summer 2000 session!! I will send a snail mail (U.S. Postal Service) letter to the home address you listed when registering. This letter will include your logon to the course WebBoard! Please read the letter and save your logon and password. If you do NOT receive a letter by June 5, please email or telephone me (see my contact information on the course syllabus).
As you know, our summer classes run at double-time. So, there will be TWO assignments each week. The FIRST assignment will be due by 6 am Thursday of the week; the SECOND assignment will be due by 6 am Monday. The last week of classes, we will have MULTIPLE ASSIGNMENTS due! So, do plan ahead! Please consult the syllabus for links to all lectures, assignments and WebBoard discussion questions.
If you are new to online learning, please look at the website What Makes a Successful Online Student?
I am generally logged onto AOL IM as "BurksO2" nearly every morning about 6 am and throughout most "business" days. I will also log on some evenings. If you have IM and wish to chat, just ring me up!
I will post messages at this location each and every week of the semester. So, please check back often for announcements!
New lectures and discussion questions will be available by Monday of each week.
As always, feel free to IM me or email me. I enjoy those morning and evening IM chats with those who page me!
I look forward to our learning together through this semester; it should be very interesting to use the very technologies we are studying in our class to deliver the course! :-)
Keep communicating! See you on the 'net!!
