Ray SchroederRay Schroeder
I
am a professor of communication at the University
of Illinois at Springfield, formerly Sangamon State University. I came
to SSU in 1977 from the University of Illinois at
Urbana where I broadcast and taught in the college of communications from 1971 to 1977. In 1984, I established the Television
Office which I directed until August, 1997 when I was given the opportunity
to establish a new unit, we are calling OTEL,
the Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning .
My professional interests center on the electronic media. In particular,
I study and teach in the area of new technolgies in the electronic media
and the application of Internet technologies to education.
My personal interests center in family, gardening, and our pound-pup "Patch."
