I am currently teaching two art education courses: ART 362 (Foundations of Art Education) and ART 364 (Methods of Teaching Art in K-12). I would be interested in collaborating with teacher education courses at UIS.
I briefly looked at the UIS teacher education program, but could not find courses that teach art methods in elementary and secondary levels. I wonder TEP 425 (Methods of Teaching Elementary Social Studies and Humanities) and TEP 438 (Methods of Teaching Social Studies and Humanities: 6-12) include art methods content in it.
For this semester as a starter, I am open to collaborate on one project with any of UIS teacher education methods course which is willing to create an interdisciplinary lesson unit with us.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. ^!^ I am currently teaching two art education courses: ART 362 (Foundations of Art Education) and ART 364 (Methods of Teaching Art in K-12). I would be interested in collaborating with teacher education courses at UIS.
