[For those who want to know more technical information about this, a good summary of the differences between the RSS 2.0 and Atom 1.0 syndication languages is at: http://www.tbray.org/atom/RSS-and-Atom ]
So go to the FeedBurner.com website and register (free registration):
Then click on the "Podcasts" link (see screenshot above), scroll down on the next page, and enter the web address (URL) of your blog at blogspot.com. Make sure to click on the box "I am a podcaster!":
On the next page, click on the radio button to indicate that your source is an Atom 1.0 feed:
At this point, the FeedBurner.com website will provide you the web address (URL) of your new RSS 2.0 feed. For this Sloan-C demo, the address of the RSS 2.0 feed is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Sloan-cPodcastingDemo:
Remember how you subscribed to a podcast in iTunes? One way was to start the iTunes program, go to the "Advanced" menu and select "Subscribe to Podcast":
Simply enter the web address (URL) of your RSS 2.0 feed from the FeedBurner.com website - which in this example, is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Sloan-cPodcastingDemo
Then click "OK":
As before, iTunes will go and download your new podcast from the web - and you'll be ready to listen to it:
If you share the web address (URL) of the RSS 2.0 feed with others, they also will be able to subscribe to your podcast series. Of course, since all of this uses RSS, every time you post a NEW podcast in your blog, all subscribers will receive the new podcast automagically (automatically).
Every time iTunes starts, it checks the RSS feeds of all of the podcasts to which you have subscribed. If there is a new podcast, it will be downloaded automatically. All through the power of RSS!
When you connect your iPod to your computer, the podcasts on your computer will be copied to your iPod (sychronized). Again, all of this is automatic:

One last thing - you can go back and edit the template of your blog at Blogger.com, and add an icon with the web address (URL) of your RSS 2.0 feed, so that anyone who sees your blog can subscribe to the RSS feed on their own:
