Paper One
- Alternative Assignment
Due October 19, 2007, by noon
central time
For the Paper One assignment,
you have the option of producing a podcast instead of writing a paper.
If you selection the podcast option, you must:

Produce a 15-20 minute podcast
that covers the exact same topic as you would have written about for the
Paper One assignment.

Supply a properly formatted bibliography
that includes the web sites that you mention in the podcast (a minimum
of five online references); normal citation and plagiarism rules apply.

Comply with copyright laws if
you include other digital material in your podcast.

Include at least 12 minutes of
original audio content (not direct quotes), and refer to input from other
students that you received in the “Phase One” discussions.
You can record your podcast using
the free Audacity software (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)
and an inexpensive PC microphone (either built-in to your computer/monitor
or a stand-alone microphone – go to: http://froogle.google.com/
and search on “PC microphone” – no quotes). You can edit the recording
using Audacity, and save the resulting audio file in mp3 format.

the podcast alternative assignment will be forthcoming.
